Actually, "Rainbow Six" did it for me. I'll probably read "Bear and
Dragon" at some point, but I'll be damned if I pay for another hardback book after the crap he pulled in R6. If you haven't read it, a major "appliance" in the book (and one the used for plot resolution) is called the "DKL Life Detector" or some such nonsense. It is a fraud that was perpetrated on several police and fire departments. They paid several hundred bucks for gadgets that were basically fancy dowsing rods. Sandia Labs tested the things and found that they work at about the same rate as one would expect from chance, with the head of the company that makes them operating it. -- É necessário Acessar antes de postar mensagens.
