Not AFAIK.  Wisconsin and Missouri both had ABLs in 1991 for the Gulf
War; they were both retired less than a year later.  

Or do you mean the ABLs were removed when they were laid up?  On
that, I have no knowledge, although it doesn't make much sense.
There was no other ship where the ABLs were needed, so I can't see
spending the effort required to remove them.

Well, there's 16" AP too, if you happen to shoot at any other
battleships, but it's not accurate enough for much else.

Sinking or burning because the enemy shore defences landed
thousands of submunitions from multiple rocket salvoes on them.

There's no shortage of Tomahawk launchers.

Can't do anything to help the Marines against enemy artillery, though -
that needs more range, faster salvoes and greater accuracy than the
battleships can manage.

A well-swung stone axe will kill you just as dead today as it would in
the Neolithic Age. Doesn't make it a useful front-line weapon system.
