No, just the things those elders took pride in - like, in Tyson's case,
the heavyweight championship.  This man has brought more disrepute to the
title and to boxing as any man.  For Tyson to go on about "the old-timers"
and to try to impress us with his admiration for them is shameful.  I
don't think too many ex-champs want convicted rapists in their fan clubs.

Remembering heroes is very applicable here, but as I said, I think it
played a role - in the marketing of the fight(s) in question, and of the
debate at the time.  Anyone making similar comments today would face
similar criticism, public or unconscious.

Ruelas was concentrating on his trainer Joe Goossen, who had the wrong
count from the beginning.  He got up when Goossen told him to, but the ref
had already gotten to ten.
