Hi: I live in Woodbury and work in Garden City. I am cluless as to Long
Island gyms because I worked in NYC and trained at Kingsway. I left NYC 2 years ago and have not worked out since. Brentwood is east of me and I couldn't get there. I heard there is a gym in Freeport but that to is very far. Anything between Woodbury-Syosset and Garden City/Mineola? Now that you raise the Rocky subject - I saw the second half of Rocky 2 (which I had never seen before) this week on TV (as you can see, whether in the Bay area is real bad these days), and once again came to the conclusion that the fighting scenes in this most successful of all boxing movies are pathetic. Neither Stallone nor weathers know how to throw *any* boxing punch, or how to fake being hit by one, for that matter. I the gym scenes, I always found myself checking what the guys in the background were doing! Weathers did pretty good with the suspended bag, though - good speed, and ducked it nicely when it came back. But the final fight sucked big time... I mean, how often do you see guys getting whacked 3 feet up into their air (especially when they are announced at 220lbs) by bodyshots? Have you ever seen a boxer that eats up *every* haymaker thrown in his direction (excepting Merqui Sosa :-) Boy. What a stupid movie... ...paul É necessário Acessar antes de postar mensagens.
