Morrison's chin is proven to be suspect, where as we think Lewis' is.  
This "advantage" for LEwis, coupled by the fact that he is a better
boxer, does have better defense, and can hit just as hard, puts the odds
in Lewis' favor.

ð Rafael Ruelas, CA vs. George Scott, Liberia>Sweden>FL
Ruelas KO 8
Just like Ruelas-Schwer.  A pretty bad fight, as Rafael is not a fun
fighter to watch, IMO.

Comments:  Green on the way up, Murray on the way down.

ð 10/14 - Comodoro Rivadavia - WBA Middleweight Title - ? TV

Pick:  Castro UD
Comments:  Castro is on a roll, should be a more dominant performance
than Castro's first win.

ð 10/14 - Munich - IBF Light Heavyweight Title - RTL
ð Henry Maske, Germany vs Graciano Rocchigiani, Germany
Maske UD
Henry is the better fighter, and usually rematches favor the better of
the two fighters. Henry will be more cautious and cruise to a victory.

ð 10/19 - Chester WV - Heavyweights - ESPN
ð Danell Nicholson, IL vs Jesse Ferguson, PA
Nicholson UD
Comments:  Danell is trying to piece together a bit of momentum.  
Although Ferguson has been 'hot', Nicholson should be able to stay out of
harm's way.

10/7 - Atlantic City - Heavyweights - HBO
Lennox Lewis, England vs Tommy Morrison, OK
Pick:  Morrison KO 4
Comments:  This fight epitomizes the sorry state of the
heavyweight division.  Neither of these guys ever really learned
to box, neither has much of chin or what you'd call a defense,
both like to throw big wide bombs, neither has any stamina.  The
only certainty is that the fight will end in kayo, with a minimal
chance that BOTH fighters will collapse of exhaustion in the 7th
round.  The pick is whoever lands first, with Morrison favored
purely because he's looked the less inept of the two lately.  Two
years ago I would have favored Lewis, but nobody seems to be able
to teach him anything.  If there was such a thing as boxing IQ,
Lennox would rate a 70 and Tommy maybe an 85.  In what other
sport can its retards make a few hundred thousand competing
against each other?  

10/7 - Bahamas - WBU Lightweight Title - CBS
Rafael Ruelas, CA vs. George Scott, Liberia>Sweden>FL
Pick:  Ruelas KO 6
Comments:  The only easy pick.  Scott's folks may hope Ruelas was
softened up by DLH, but I don't think so.  If Rafa survived
selling candy door-to-door in Los Angeles, a little thing like
getting shown up in front of the whole country won't bother him.
Besides, Scott's folks have been trying mightily to find someone
beatable for their man, but we're talking B fighter versus
contender here.

10/10 - Rochester - Jr. Welterweights - USA
Charles Murray, NJ vs Reggie Green, MD
Pick:  Murray SD
Comments:  All I can say is tune in - this is about as even as
they come.  Murray can't quite win the big one but he gives the
lower-level fighters hell.  Green's performance level is unstable
and unpredictable.  I'd say Green early and Murray late, but it's
gonna be close and could go either way.  The fact that Murray is
more of a "property" favors him.

10/14 - Comodoro Rivadavia - WBA Middleweight Title - ? TV
Jorge Castro, Argentina vs Reggie Johnson, TX>CA
Pick:  Castro SD
Comments:  Gotta tell you my Reggie Johnson story.  Was ringside
for Johnson-Toney holding a sizable ticket at +1.90 for Johnson.
Johnson knocks Toney down twice, bamboozles him totally, and has
Toney tossing up air balls all night.  The fight ends and I head
for the door to be the first in line at the cashier's window.
Over my shoulder I hear them announce a decision for Toney!!
Unfrikkingbelievable!   This is the Reggie Johnson story - as
slick a boxer as you'll ever see, but hard luck.  Last time he
fought Castro he lost a split decision in Argentina, so you know
who really won.  Reggie'll potshot him all night and lose another
one.

10/14 - Munich - IBF Light Heavyweight Title - RTL
Henry Maske, Germany vs Graciano Rocchigiani, Germany
Pick:  Maske UD
Comments:  Rocchigiani is the better of the two brothers, but
hasn't been the same since his layoff.  He's also got a lighter
frame than Maske.  Maske has had his rocky moments (no pun
intended) but he seems to find a way.  Maske by late-round kayo
or clear-cut decision.

10/19 - Chester WV - Heavyweights - ESPN
Danell Nicholson, IL vs Jesse Ferguson, PA
Pick:  Ferguson KO 9
Comments:  Jesse's been threatening to break out of his tomato-
can role.  He looked in decent shape last time.  If he's
maintained his training program, I'll pick him to spoil
Nicholson's show.
