Similar builds and styles? Isn't Frazier a little taller than Tyson?

True, but according to Angelo Dundee, they had clearance to fight in
California but the Governer (a guy by the name of Ronnie Reagan) stopped
them. "That draft dodger will never fight in my state", is what Mr.
Reagan said. So I guess to a certain extent the government did interfere.
Also, like David mentioned, his passaport was confiscated. I don't know
if boxing commisions have that kind of power.

Hey Scarface, I suggest you pick up one of the many great books available
on the life and times of Muhammad Ali.

I should have qualified my remarks, When I said government I was talking
about the feds.

I think there were other cases were the local yocals got in the way.

Look at the Foreman, Ali fight, look how Foreman was built and
at the time people were talking about Foreman like they talk about
Tyson, He had the strenght, the build, and the punching power,
people underestimate the power in Ali's jab, and Ali was one of
the smartest fighters in history, Bruce Lee studied films of Ali
and said that for his size his hands and footwork didn't fit him.
He said that his hand and foot speed were more comparable to
somone in a lightweight class, keep in mind this is when
Ali was in his prime. Plus Ali had a distinct reach advantage
over Tyson, and while using his reach to inflict his jab he
would be able to set up alot more things, yes I know Tyson
has fought fighter with alot more reach and was victorious,
but look at the Douglas fight, granted it was a fluke but
look at how Douglas used his reach to his advantage, and
look at the knockout, he was fully extending his punches on
hits, again utilizing his reach, and Douglas's jab was no
way close to as fast or as effective as Ali's.

Well, you are neglecting some major things

1) Tyson was not in his prime vs. Douglas

2) Douglas' jab had more power behind it than Ali's. A 235 pound good
jab is harder than a 210 pound great jab.

3) In you Ali-Foreman reference isn't as relevant, as Foreman is a
stand-up, tall man. Tyson is short, and crouches.

4) Douglas KO'd Tyson in ten. You are asserting that he would be KO'd
in six. This is VERY unlikely. I mean, look, I can only thing of a
couple of people that hurt tyson before the six round (Bruno, Tucker)
both of whom punch harder than Ali, and both of whom didn't have Tyson
too hurt.

5) Ali, except for the Liston I and II, as well as Foreman, never got a
KO close to or less than the 6th, against quality opposition.

6) Tyson would NEVER fall for the Rope-a-dope, as foreman did.
Remember, this is Tyson in his PRIME. This guy was virtually a boxing
scholar. He would have easily identified the rope-a-dope. Furthermore,
it would be improbable for Ali to employ the Rope-a-dope in his prime.
