I think id love to see this fight - in my opinion it will prove to all you
toney supporters how second rate (intentional flame ;) toney is.  I reckon
no knock down victory but one on points.  will we see the fight though?
eubank is in it for the money, and with the sky deal he should be able to
swing accross to wider american audiences.  well who knows about Eubank -
but what ever im behind him.

  I just thought of the perfect next opponent for Eubank: Vinnie Pazienza.
  I'm serious; I really think that would be an interesting match. I've
  seen Eubank on about four occasions, and I enjoy watching him box
  because he has a completely unorthodox style that involves laying on
  the ropes and countering while giving his opponent weird angles which
  he generates with alot of upper body movement. That's not going to work
  against Toney who is an excellent inside fighter and also knows how
  to punish the body of an opponent who tries Eubank style tactics.

  On the other hand, Pazienza and Eubank would be much more evenly matched,
  and the fight would be a really interesting contrast in styles. Also,
  the amount of effort that Eubank would need to dispose of Pazienza ( if
  he can ) would give a really good indication of where he should stand
  in the rankings.

  Toney is way too fast and technically skilled for Eubank, who has
  never faced any really high quality opponents with the possible exception
  of Tony Thornton who was already somewhat " over the hill " when they
  met. Eubank simply wouldn't last long against Toney. If Eubank really
  wants to make money then he should try to face the winner of Toney/
  Jones. That fight will establish who is the best fighter in the
  division, and there wouldn't be any bigger opportunities than fighting
  the top champion.

        Padilla is an impressive champion, but so is Eubank - maybe he
doesn't take on the cream of the challengers, but at least he fights some
decent, worthwhile challengers.  Before he took on Holyfield for the
second time, Who did Riddick Bowe fight who was any good ? Please don't
tell me that Dokes and Ferguson were the best heavyweights out there at
that time.
