What is also admirable about Pacman is that he could easily be a
defensive master a la Mayweather, and win fights without taking too
many risks. He's got the speed and the reflexes to do that. But thats
not him. Simply winning fights is not enough for him. He's willing to
go the extra mile and punch holes through some of the best p4p

We don't know anything for sure. But fighters typically get less
effective, not more, when they move up in weight, and this is a rule
that I cannot think of many (any?) exceptions to.

By the time that Sugar Ray Robinson was Pacquiao's age, he was
probably at his peak. He was dominant at middleweight, and this was
just before he lost to Maxim.
So far, looking at top fighters he had faced, from 147 to 160 he had:
- Graziano
- Bobo Olson
- Randy Turpin (though he'd lost one)

Without the headbutts (both fights), Holyfield could never have

- Pacquiao is Ring champ at 140
- Pacquiao just DOMINATED a top 2-3 Welterweight (at absolute worst,
Cotto is/was a top-five Welterweight)

Hagler and Hearns had enough K.O. power to finish Joe *if* they managed to
land a perfect punch on the chin's sweet spot.
Leonard and Duran slowed down as they moved up in weight so it's unlikely

Just about every fight he ever fought.
He has a great ability to lean on the ropes and allow the opponent to
wing punches which he evades using great upper body motion, good hand
guard and the ropes to sway him backward and forward.
