I'm curious about the line: 'The place I love best is a sweet memory. It's a new path that we trod ... ' from Workingman's Blues. This line puzzles me because of the tenses employed. The love described is present tense. And it refers to the loved place as a 'sweet memory' (the place is gone, past tense). The path trodden... mais »
