I have to say that I was so blown away by the entire album, that I left during WOASD and got a giant beer. I don't typically do that, but I felt that I had no alternative.

funny,, playing woasd after the entire weiss album is the only interesting thing i've heard so far about the concert.
Nice show. There were 5 horns (Trombone, 2 trumpets, 2 sax's) and 8, yes 8, not 6 or 7, but 8 violins. NYCS was to die for. Just had to endure a couple of loadmouths behind me that wouldn't shut up during WBCS and anything else that was relatively quite. YES!!! Yes, they chatted the entire time during Sandy, Incident, WBCS and NYCS. The best was the idiot next to me that kept telling his girlfriend that Hungry Heart was a such a rarity and that the WIESS songs were all standard fare. Where do these assholes come from and why did I get stuck next to them?!?!?!
Hopefully, I'll have some luck with the lottery tomorrow.
I'm still trying to figure out why the Pit was virtually empty and the Secondary Pit was full early on. The Pit filled up by 7:45, but it was about 150 people before that...

The pit was empty until close to showtime because all the VIPs in the front pit hung out backstage or somewhere else until then. Joe

There was a problem with the paperless tickets and you had to pick them up at will call of one or automated kiosks. It was a colossal mess. Once they fixed it, the floodgates opened.

I have to mention, the only "bad" part about the album was that the transitions between songs was difficult to replicate, because Roy was running back and forth between accordion and piano!

The violins were only there in spots. Even the horns were only there in spots. Great fun to hear, though...

Where were you? Some A-holes behind me were talking during most of NYCS as well, and my best dirty look didn't seem to deter them at all!

BTW, Scott, as I posted on another thread, only 231 people showed up for the "lottery" to get into the Pit, therefore, everybody wins! You can't win if you don't play... All other GA attendees were SOL.

There were a lot of people with credentials who did show up later (including an obnoxious one in a heavy sweater who leaned on my back all night and seemed to enjoy resting his elbow on my should blade when he didn't have that hairy frigging sweater pressed against me. I mean, I wore a T-shirt for a reason, Jackass!) Can't say I blamed them, as I was on my feet just standing still from 4:30 p.m. until after 11:30 (show over at 11:36), and I never thought I'd be able to move again when I tried to put one foot in front of the other.
