Everybody's got their own favorites. I have tix for Sunday, butI think it's HOLY SHIT for Saturday. Side 2 of WIESS in its entirety will be pure magic.
1) WIESS will suck live. That is the last full labum I would ever want to see performed
2) The River, although it is my favorite album, I would not want a full show of it. It doesn't leave enough room for true rarities. And the River songs aren't rare to me as I have seen all but 1 performed live. THe River would get me excited if it was half on one night and half on the other.

So true, but by playing the River, it will just about complete every song I ever wanted to hear live. Well except for Viva Las Vegas and Brothers Under Bridges 83 version. My top 4 wish list would be wiped out.

You might want to change selection number three here as he'll be performing it as part of the album set <g>

My prediction is 31 songs:
Outlaw Pete Badlands Working on a Dream (The River album set) Promised Land The Rising Born to Run Encores: Waiting on a Sunny Day Glory Days American Land Dancing in the Dark Higher & Higher

It won't suck live - but it will be strange for the following two reasons: 1) After the set when he says "these are the men who made the album" - only Garry and Clarence will be up front with him to take a bow. 2) In the main set going from Kitty's Back to Wild Billy's and from Rosie to NYC Serenade will be strange in terms of pacing and flow to the show. Going from Dancing in the Dark to My Hometown (two top 10 hits) is one thing, but to make the above transitions is another story
But you do know you'll get a Born in the USA-heavy encore as a result (smart money says Glory Days, Dancing in the Dark, and Bobby Jean all show up in the encores).

I agree with you on this, I would have preferred it as Disc 1 on night 1 and Disc 2 on night 2. But to get the whole album in one night will be pretty special.

Just signed on for the ticket drop calls tonight. Could be another LAX-NYC trip for me too...
My wife is being kind enough to allow me to bail on a friend's daughter's wedding. i am going to the cocktail hour and the ceremony and missing the reception. Then I bail and take the LIRR from Great Neck to THE RIVER!! ( And all this was arranged BEFORE the River was announced!! (I Love My Wife!!) The only thing I have to decide is if I'm going to change out of my Tux or go Formal to MSG. ( It is my 63rd B'Day, so a Tux may be appropriate!!)
No such problem on Sat. Nite. Just drive into city, park and WIESS!!
I'm so sad...WIESS!?!?!?!?!?! I would frickin LOVE LOVE LOVE to get that one....ugh. Maybe just maybe....he'll be willing to give us Incident in Milwaukee then.....
That's awesome! I had tickets for Sunday, and was bracing myself for another BITUSA show. And I couldn't find anyone to go with me. Different story, now. Though I hope I'm still alive after Saturday, because seeing WIESS in section 64 is practically guaranteeing that my head is going to explode.
