Right click Context Menu - Run As Administrator

2007 Home & Student Office. Vista Home Premium SP2
Just wonder why is it that right clicking on any Office program will not
have Run As Admin in the Context Menu.
IF I right click on the program > Properties > Shortcut tab > Advanced. The
box in front of Run As Admin is grayed out.
Any reasons why. It is not a problem. Just want to know.

Remove disk, run Disk Cleanup, reboot
Run MSUpdate to insure critical updates installed on whatever version of Win
If you have a preinstalled Office Trial uninstall it together with
Activation Assistant via add/remove, reboot

You have to uninstall any Office Trial & Activation Assistant via
add/remove, reboot, before installing any licensed version of Office
If you have 2003 installed on Virtual PC it should be invisible to the new
version

I hit send too soon. I forgot to say I"m using Vista 64-bit Home
Premium, but I've ordered a $30 Windows 7 Professional upgrade CD, so
that may change in a couple weeks.

My computer came pre-installed with a copy of Microsoft office, I
don't' recall which version, but it is expired and had Excel, OneNote,
PowerPoint, and Word.
I've signed up for night school courses, and the school lets students
download and install Office 2007 as a perk. Do I need to remove the
trial before running the installer?

Yes. Right now it wants to set up a database, but will not and I can't get
the wizard to not run on startup of Outlook.

Word 2007 has me click OK 5 times when opening..

Most of us in the office use 2007. One lady was still using 2003 and
occasionally someone would send her an XLSX file, which obviously she can't

Upgrade to 64 bit from Vista 32 bit. I only have 1 failed update, but it
later installed successfully and was for IE8.

Attempting to load software and it appears to have stalled after the
installation status bar has shown it is completed. I tried to open the CD
door to possibley "wake it up" only to find I had to restart the whole
process over. It has been over an hour sitting in the current mode. Any
ideas out there?

If you review MSUpdate history are any failed updates shown for .Net
framework?
Was your Win7 an upgrade or clean install?
Is it 64bit version
I believe your problem is a win issue with Net framework and SQL Express

All I can do is try and if it doesn't work then I will reformat. I usually do
it once a year anyway so not a big deal.
