Job Title:  SQL DBA
Location:  2-3 months
Duration: Washington, DC

Responsibilities:
Participate with team of technical staff and business managers to determine
systems requirements and functionalities needed for a ETL application.
Assess and develop high level design requirements for project and
communicate in writing or in meetings with development team.
Assess detailed specifications against design requirements.
Develop code; perform reviews to advance application upgrade, extension, or
other development.
Analyze application for data integrity issues.
Develop Unit test cases and perform Unit testing of assigned component.
Serve as a lead technical staff by providing architectural direction around
high performance MS SQL database based development
Ability to analyze and resolve performance issue with database code
involving SSIS and MS SQL DB
Ability to understand and support install/upgrades of Third Party Software

Must have skills
Expert in SSIS, MS SQL server and SQL programming
Expert at query tuning and optimizing database code and developing batch
processing jobs
Knowledge of Rational Clear Case, Clearquest, Windows security, FTP, SFTP,
UNIX, encryption technologies

Additional Skills
Knowledge of the healthcare industry
Working knowledge of J2EE programming, XML
Working Knowledge of Reporting tools such as Cognos 8 BI
5+ years of experience in programming, application development
