For reasons unknown to me Google Desktop will not update past Feb.
22nd, 2009. I have installed and reinstalled several times trying to
re-index on each occasions. All the message seem to indicate things
are working but the drive is not being accessed and nothing after Feb.
22 gets indexed.

I'm having trouble with searching for particular content in a excel or
csv file. The results show nothing. I can search for the file name and
the search returns that but not the contents of the file.
I've enabled contents search.
Re-indexed search.
Use latest version.

Google desktop is not indexing the content of my pdf files when they
encrypted. I am using the "encrypt all document contents except
metadeta" option in Adobe Acrobat 9.0 (256-bit AES). This should allow
the searchable content to be index.
Setup: Windows 7 64-bit

Sometime the Quick Search Box closes itself before I can type
anything...
I use it to launch programs, so I get to use quite often.
The problem comes and go, but I'd like to know how can it be fixed.

I have got moreorless the same problem as a lot of topics in these
groups, but non of the solutions given seems to help. It might be
because of some diffirent factors: I am using Chrome dev build on win7
64 bit Ultimate. Chrome is in fact my default browser but when I hit

Google Desktop has stopped working correctly. Indexing does not
work. Startup results in a RUNDLL window popoing up with the message
"Error loading C:\Program Files\Google\Google Desktop Search
\GoogleServices.dll The specified procedure cannot be found. The

I am using Windows7 and have 2 monitors. My large external monitor is
primary and my laptop monitor is secondary.
When I place the Sidebar on the laptop monitor (secondary) .. it
always autohides .. even if I have autohide unchecked. I've tried a
zillion combinations .. and nothing seems to help.... mais »

I'm running a Hebrew-edition Windows XP (which is probably related to
the problem) so things are in the opposite direction than you might
expect. In Hebrew Windows, the windows taskbar is flipped horizontally
