hehe, sorry for that. I'v been chatting with guys from all over the world,
and i really enjoy the relaxation topics, such culture, languages,
behaviours. and i think serious topics will bring much offense, besides, my
english words about politcs are limited, so i have to learn it well, then i
can use them in the conversation.
PS: I notice the "I hear and I forget.
I see and I believe.
I do and I understand.
Confucius (551 BC - 479 BC)."
I don't know much about chinese claasic work in the english version, but in
chinese original work, the sentence was came form Xun Zi. As you can see it
below http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xun_Zi but maybe i am wrong, you know chinese classic work in chinese version are
really difficute to read, most of them were written about 2000 years ago,
the difference is quite large. for example, the ancient greek and eygpt
words cannot be identify by us easily as well.

Hi pln,
Certainly,what I post was not mischievious message.LOL
It's just for fun.The symbol"LOL"makes my smile in that busy
day."mischievious" means intended to cause harm or
trouble, which absolutely wasn't what I mean few days before.
You know, the picture in my mind when I saw "LOL" is a little girl treated
badly by others weep here.^_^

I've been reading all these messages about traveling and studing in Europe.
Indeed Europe fascinates me a lot.
I've just scheduled my first trip to Europe (and I hope this is the first of
many others in the future). I'm very excited and I have to start doing my
itinerary!! Can you help me giving tips what places I should visit? As soon
I know some of you in the group have already been in Europe.
I'm going to Paris and Brussels with my girlfriend. This is not a long trip,
just one week!
Pln, I agree with what you said about traveling as a backpacker!! I prefer
traveling without a prepared itinerary by travel agencies, since I prepared
my route in advance.
In my opinion, I see Europe as an old and beautiful World, where many
important facts happened there and because of this, there are many
historical places to go.

It took me some time to finally find this message I was about to reply
to before our move to the new flat!
One week to pay visits to 2-3 cities is quite a busy schedule.I've
never been to Paris, but Brussels is a place I highly recommend!;)
Try as many different beers as possible. My favourite is the cherry
one!
Barcelona is another place I'd like to revisit! If you could,I'd
recommend you to go there instead of Paris.
Too short time left for me to write more...
I'll come back next Monday to catch up with you guys again!
Nice weekend to you and your girlfriend and to all of us!

Nice to see you here again!!! :)
I hope you are having a good time in your new flat!
Yeah, I agree that just one week to visit 2 cities is going to be quite
busy, but at that time, I won't be able to take more days off my work.
I'm really excited about going there, and I'm happy to know that you enjoyed
Brussels. I'm looking forward to try many kinds of beers, I'll really enjoy
that!!! LOL
I've been reading some information about there and they say much about
chocolate, waffle and beer!! They must have such a good gastronomy!! My
favorite kind of beer is Ale, a red beer. You got me curious about the
cherry one.
Thanks for the valuable tips, Pln!!! They were really good!

Coincidentally,I found one among piles of books of my husband's to be
put away on the shelves:
'Michael Jackson's Beer Companion'.(this 'Michael Jackson' is an
authority figure when it comes to beverages, not that King of Pop who
just passed away)
Let me quote some parts for the curious Oshiro(if you were named
George,it would sound even betterLOL):
'A beer made with fruit sounds like a contradiction.
Surely is it a wine?
The explanation is that these are beers, produced from grain, with fruit
added as a further fermentable material or flavouring.
They are traditional in Belgium, where they are often based on lambic
beers, and usually made with cherries or raspberries.
Inspired by the success of these products in recent years, other fruits
and more countries have made an entrance.
The best of Belgium's artisan-made,lambic-based,whole-fruit cherry
kriek and raspberry frambozen beers have a complexity and delicacy, and
are dry.
They are the beer world's elegant response to pink champagne, and make
a pretty, unusual and appetizing drink with which to welcome guests at
a barbecue or summer party...'
Just check out the beer menus when you go to any pubs there. There are
over 365 kinds of beers to choose from!
I remember my husband couldn't even resist on trying them during
breakfast considering so short time for so many beers!LOL
As for the ales you're fond of,you can also try out Belgian ale there.
Belgians call ales 'speciales belges' or just 'belges',particularly in
the French-speaking regions of Belgium.
According to M.J.,try 'Vieux Temps'(it means Old Time),Horse
Ale,Lamot,Op-Ale and Palm.
On second thought, you should take your girlfriend to Paris because it
seems to be every woman's dream destination, and it's a bigger contrast
to your culture or Barcelona, isn't it?
When are your coming to Europe?;)
Nice day,everyone!

Fortunately you gave me some very good information about this Michael
Jackson's beer companion. I actually didn't know there was another famous
king :)
These fruited-beers sounds to me as being a little sweet, am I right? I
surely will taste many kinds of beverage there, it doens't mean I'm going to
be drunk, maybe a little high :)
Here in Brazil I believe we don't have well known ale beers, the most commom
one here is pilsen and we drink always very cold. I heard in some countries
in Europe they drink them in environmental temperature.
I and my girlfriend are going togheter to Paris and Brussels, and we going
to Europe in the end of October. We've been planning our itinerary and our
great challenge is going to be the low temperature of this season, provided
that we are not used to it.
You have a point, Paris must be the dream destination of women, very
different from our culture.

I was wrong yesterday because in one of my books, one wine connaisseuse
said there were over 500 kinds of Belgian beers!
On one label of a brand, you will see a pink elephant.
According to the author,if one should get that drunk,he/she will see a
pink elephant!
I haven't experienced it yet.
I guess we'll wait for you to tell us after your return!LOL
Do some Europeans drink beer in room temperature?
I didn't know it.Most of the Europeans I know drink cold beer from the
fridge(without ice cubes).
How cold can it be in Sao Paolo in your winter/our summer?
It's autumn at the end of October, and it shouldn't be that cold yet
provided everywhere you go in Europe then, there are radiators/heaters
on indoors.
All you need is prabably a thick long coat,a scarf,a pair of gloves
and a pair of warmer boots. If it snows earlier this year, then you'll
need to pack more clothes...
We'll see then.
By the way,Charles,I read your today's message.
If I don't have enough time to reply to you today,I'll do it
tomorrow.;)
Nice day,everyone!

I found the beer with the pink elephant in the label LOL
Its name is "Delirium", it's suitable with what they say about seeing pink
elephants after drinking that LOL. I have to confess that I got really
excited about taste it and maybe see pink elephants!!! I'll do my best to
find that brand of beer there and then I'll tell you what I saw LOL
It's good to know that Europeans drink cold beer instead of in room
temperature.
Well, in Sao Paulo we don't have neither intense cold nor really intense
heat. We just entered in the winter season here and the average temperature
is about 10ºC when it's much cold. In the summer, the average is 30º,
sometimes a little more.

Thank you for the links, they are really helpful. Unfortunately I hadn't
seen the news about the new Google's tool. Google city tour is really great
to help us plan itinerary trips. As soon as possible I'll check out the
basic vocabulary of French, BBC has a huge range of resources to help
students regarding culture and languages.
Through the event links you sent me, I could check there will be a concert
of Eros Ramazzotti at the time I will be there, in Brussels. As a matter of
fact, my knowledge about him is almost nothing. LOL
By the way, as we are talking about google services, Google street view is
going to scan some streets here in Sao Paulo. Some concerns about privacity
are coming up. The same as the ones there have been in other countries that
Google has scanned. Besides, my opinion is that they provide us interesting
and helping information about the world. Some use them for the bad, other
for good.

They have so many concerts to go to:
Leonard Cohen!
U2!
Green Day!
Pete Doherty!
Pixies
Arctic Monkeys!:(
I like Eros Ramazzotti for his voice and music.
I don't know much about him,either!LOL
I know what you meant by pointing out the dilemma of all citizens
nowadays...
Which is more important, privacy or security?:(
As a tourist, you benefit from this service whereas as a resident, you
suffer from it.
I wish there would be a win-win solution to this controversy!
Good day to us all!

Yeah, you have a point, indeed, Parisians are really lucky!!
From these list of bands you mentioned, I enjoy almost all of them: U2,
Green Day, Pixies, Artic Monkeys. In this point, Latin America has a lack of
big concerts if compared to USA and Europe. I think it's because South
America has minor importance in their marketing scheme. When these bands
come to Brazil, the prices are high and even though the high prices, we
crowd the stadiums and clubs where they play. They shoud come more often
here.
Regarding the service Google offer us and the dilemma between security or
privacy, I believe it's hard to cope with that. The internet came to blow
our covers. :)
