This quotation is suitable for our daily and busy days we are used to live.
I completely agree with that, even though I forget about live the life very
often, because I'm worried about my job or other problems. I believe this is
the culture of ocidental countries, give much effort to work and let our
lives in second plan.
Now, replying your questions:
#1. How many jobs do you expect to have in your life?
In my area, it's quite usual to exchange jobs/companies. So I expect to have
8 or more jobs in my life.
#2. In 15 years' time,do you expect to be working more or less than now?
I strongly expect I'll be working less than today.
#3.At what age do you expect to stop working?
I'm still in doubt about that, it's really hard to say at what age I expect
to stop working. I plan to stop working at 60 or before. Not much before,
because working is good for our mind as well. This may be a good age to take
a rest and enjoy even more the life.
#4. Do you see yourself as somebody who is spontaneous and live for the
moment or who thinks and plans for the future?
I see myself as a person who always make plans for the future.
1) How many jobs do you expect to have in your life?
1-3 4-7 8 or more
Answer : I had a job which I left. No jobs anymore! I want to start a
business or a 'profession without a boss' instead.
2) In 15 years' time,do you expect to be working more or less than
now?
Answer : More ....
3) At what age do you expect to stop working?
55 65 75
Answer : I expect to die with my boots on ..
4) Do you see yourself as somebody who is spontaneous and live for the
moment or who thinks and plans for the future?
Answer : You are right! I am not someone who lives in the past and
future ....
Laugh as much as you breathe and love as long as you
live.
"Intellectual growth should commence at birth and cease only at death”
- Albert Einstein
“Dream as if you'll live forever, live as if you'll die today.”
- James Dean
life is what happens to you when you're making another plans.
I don't agree that
Making plan is Idealism. We make plan to chase our dream. For example,I
made plans to go college when I am a little boy because that I want to
work in a big city.
Enjoy what we have is reality.People cherish what they have and don't
consider future too much.

This quotation means that we have to figure out a way to look after our
self, I mean we have to think about our lifes as a plan too.
I think what John was trying to say is, "Hey guys, pay a attention... time
doesn't coming back... life is what you are doing now"
1 How many jobs do you expect to have in your life?
In which job that I've worked I meet different people and different way to
see the life...I think it helps us to understand more us and others. I wish
more than 8 jobs to me ;)
2 In 15 years' time,do you expect to be working more or less than
> now?
I think I'll be working the same way as today...hard...but maybe because
I'll have more experience I'll do the same with less energy...(god I hope
so)
3 At what age do you expect to stop working?
> 55 65 75
Maybe work less, but if I could I'll stop just until the end ... because
after that I'll have unspecified task to do...rsrsrs
4 Do you see yourself as somebody who is spontaneous and live for the
> moment or who thinks and plans for the future?
I have both moment. Sometimes I make plans and I think about my life goals,
but sometimes I just let it be and live the moment...
Everybody needs a carrot to run to, but sometimes enjoy the sunset with a
couple of beers is not to bad...hehehe
dat can be summed up in simple words n dat s "Expect d Unexpected".Lyf s
full of so many complex things n yet everyday seems simple.... isn't it
smthng really wonderful? we try to find answer to many q's which lyf
presents to us.some of which we r able to find n some not. yet , we should
never,ever stop trying.b'coz dat's wat lyf s about.Even if u fall stand up n
get set goin' . although I agree dat sometym's d fall s really worse but
given tym we overcome it.
n along all dis wen u think dat all s well somethng which u were not at all
expecting comes along it may be wonderful smthng which can change ur lyf or
quite opposite. but, one thing s for sure it does changes one's lyf for
better or for worse.
> 'Life is what happens to you when you're busy making other plans.'
I think this quote become more realistic now on 21th century, because each day people are more busy working and making professional thing that forgot the social life. So so much thing 'happens to you when you are busy" just because you are always busy.
> 1 How many jobs do you expect to have in your life? > 1-3 4-7 8 or more
I never think about that, 1 or 8 has no differ to me, what matter is to be happy working.
> 2 In 15 years' time,do you expect to be working more or less than > now?
LOL.. Without doubt less than now .
> 3 At what age do you expect to stop working? > 55 65 75
40 is a good age. LOL
> 4 Do you see yourself as somebody who is spontaneous and live for the > moment or who thinks and plans for the future?
I´m kind person who plan. Maybe because I´m near technology and work with projects that always need planning.

After reading your passionate post about your teaching experience I don't
see you as a lazy person, Pln.
You said that if you were more ambitious you woud have achieved more in your
life, right? But do you think you want to achieve more than you have done
until today?

So you dug out this message of mine I thought was buried by so many of
Josney's!LOL
It's somewhat contradictory of me as you can tell...
Teaching is all I am good at,and the reason why I described myself as
a lazy person is because I should have explored other possibilities of
my potentials to achieve more in life...
Several of my senior acquaintances and close friends, especially my
family have been disappointed with me!:(
In retrospect,I don't regret anything I have done so far!
Life is so precious that whatever way we spend it,we will never feel
we get enough of it,isn't it?;)
Great day to us all!

My family had been making me feel very guilty of not living up with their wishes and expectations...:(
I was some sort of a black sheep in the large family who was also the highliest-educated among other relatives then. Everyone, especially my dead father expected me to be a successful businesswoman who could expand his business abroad...
Even though I have a good sense of business because of his genes, I didn't feel happy while working in trading companies as an emplyee or later owning my own import & export company...
It was a long and winding road following my own guts to be a teacher and rmarry a foreigner...
I often remind younger people who have the same problems with their families that it's your own life, and no one else but you can make yourself happy!!!;)
Life is really much too short to waste on living others' dreams!
Good night! Pln

Life is what happens to you when you're busy making other plans. It is a
promising sentence for me. It awakes me and make me look around myself. We
are very busy these days. we work, we study and we make our own plans. Most
of the times we lack time to fulfill our tasks. Meanwhile, life is flowing,
streaming and passing whether we are aware or unaware. God bless people who
care others not just themselves. Our parents who wants to be with us, our
friends who wish to see us sometimes, relationship with relatives are all
aspects of life around us. In addition, all the moment of the day and night
we pass is a treasure. If we don't mention them, they'll pass and never
repeat again. So we should go slower and slower, the life is not a race, it
is an individual evolutionary path which everybody must take so be sure not
to miss any nice and promising moment.
In 15 year's time, I expect myself to work more and harder than now. First
and foremost, I will qualify for getting an admission from a top university
to get higher education. then for at most 5 years, I will study hard to get
my Ph.D. and start working as a Software Engineering professor in a good
university. Beside teaching, I will focus on research in my favorite field
and increase my knowledge. I'd like to give birth to 2 children during then
next 15 years so the great maternity responsibility will be also on my
shoulder. The next hope that I have is organizing an up to date software
company or at least work as a software consultant or researcher in one of
the major companies. As a result, I will face many challenges in the 15
years' time so I should try hard and never give up in order to succeed.
I have some new experience of "life is what happens to you when you're
busy making other plans".
It's about "what happens to you".
or we can say "what we have".
During my English studying time, the advices of studying English is
following a teacher, which I can't find one we teach English in English
environment.
Many people don't have the environment,so they plan to study latter
when they met the teacher.
Being older and older, they aren't able to study a new language anymore.
I use what I have on internet.
Then I conquered the English.
Even though it's not easy,I make it.Great!!! Some candy for myself!!
The plan in our head is idealism, which is always perfect. It's always
fascinating and fabulous.
But,it's not reality. If we try to make our dream come true,we must
consider the natural rules, which is too complicate to understand by
human yet.
Which means,we are always disappointed because of the fantasy can't be truth.
The best strategy is accepting what we can't change and using what we
have to make our world we live in better,
which is "life is what happens to you".
