Google Sites lets you build websites. You can set up DNS with CNAME records to point at? Google Sites. Problem is, you cannot simply make a specific Google Site your homepage. Described over here, there is an approach whereby you have your DNS provider redirect the client to one of the Google Sites you built. Alternatively, you can create a single Google Web(!) page that redirects to the desired Google Site. You can then set up DNS (using CNAME records, see Google Apps documentation) to point at that Google Web Page. This way, you don't need to run your own webserver, only use default DNS functionality (CNAME records) and still have a simple "www.yourdomain.com" point at a site you can build an maintain using Google Apps "Sites". Steps: a) setup DNS to have a CNAME record for www.yourdomainhere.com to point at ghs.google.com b) configure Google Web Pages correctly: b1) Choose "Change URL" and insert "www.yourdomain.nl" b2) Edit the Google Web homepage, choose "edit HTML" and insert the following: ?? ?<head> Note:? in the above, change both "yourdomain" as well as "web1" (the name of one of your Google Sites) as well as "Home". Better yet; cut & paste from Google Sites preview mode. ? forwarding to google sites home page alternative approachforwarding to google sites home page alternative approachforwarding to google sites home page alternative approachforwarding to google sites home page alternative approachforwarding to google sites home page alternative approach
