The first outing for CIA KGB was the 91 tour I think. Not on any version of
Computerworld. The German lyrics are more expansive mentioning Finanzamt,
Flensburg, Automat und Telespiel etc

I don't hear two slams? There is the sound of the unlocking of the door, and I
can even hear the clunk-clunk of the stopper mechanism that prevents a car door
to fall open, but no second slam. Or maybe you hear the clunk of the starter
motor. (Geez, are we not nerds.)

This is not comprehensive. In fact, it might not even be coherent. But
here are my impressions.
Packaging:
First class, especially those big 12" booklets. They've taken the time
to get things right here.
Credits:
I do hope that there isn't a bit of unpleasant revisionism going on with
some of the credits. Wolfgang wasn't as much a spectator as that for

Ralf has said that he wants to do it, but:
a) there may be a new album getting in the way
b) there may be more touring getting in the way
c) the tapes, being older, may take much longer to remaster.

I am beginning to be worried about my order because I have not
received it yet. They send it out on 9th so now it has taken 10 days.
and normaly it takes 6-8 days from Germany to Denmark.

Mine arrived this evening (delivered to my neighbour for safe keeping
while I was at work; neighbour then didn't come home until after 18:30 -
Aargh! The frustration!!).
I've only heard 'Autobahn' (the track) so far (that's the one which
started it all for me), and if that's any indication of what's in store

Katalog is a masterpiece, Meisterstück. Kraftwerk's opus magnum.
Those, who understand music only as a stream of bits in mp3 file are
definitelty not able to understand it. But those, whose hands shaking with
emotions while opening an envelope with a vinyl or CD with favourite music,
undoubtedly know what I mean.

Mmm, I'm not sure I find sound quality greatly improved compared to the old
CD's. True, the new ones are louder, compared to the old ones.
Argh, what did they do to Radioaktivität! Every time the whiplash sounds the
rest of the mix... "dulls". That is really REALLY awful!
And they removed the nice 50Hz buzz in Intermission/News! Shame!

the instrumentation and production is different to the Autobahn
version, I would say it is more raw and less good for my taste.
However, I'm desperatly looking to buy this single for my collection
and it seems it's quite rare, never seen a copy on Ebay or similar.

be warned, I had twice identity and bank thieves from CDUniverse.
I mean, they don't secure their data well it appears.
I ordered 2 times from them last year, and 2 times my credit card was
charged by some scams.

Where are the great pics of the Radioactivity Deutscher Kleinempfanger?
Finally the Orchestron is mentioned :-)
And where's the J. Stara B/W TEE pic? Although his name is in the credits the
nice photo seems to be missing.

I'd just buy the box set if I were you, you get all 8 album in a
swanky box with heap of previously unseen artwork in large format
booklets
it's a no brainer really

Well, it was kind of fun. Allthough I thought the Krautrock documentary
was a bit cut and paste. Interesting to hear about close ties between
Amon Duul and Bader-Meinhof, but it wasn't explored in any way. And nice
words on Kraftwerk, but a few clips from the old Hutter-interview and a
short Dusseldorf tour by Wolfgang just touched the surface.

artwork having that 4 x cd format. Nice!
