Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this product and how it
compares to using wine.

After a change at work that now allows me to remote in from Linux I only
have one program that forces me to use Windows and that is Microsoft Access.

I tried that with wine about a year ago. While it installed okay I couldn't
get anything that required running VBA code to work.

Is the latest release of wine sufficiently different for me to try that
again?

If you *must* use Windows, a better option is to install it in a VM and
run Access from inside that. As it is a full install of Redmonds best,
you shouldn't have any issues.

As a developer I would not consider running a Windows program in Wine
(Windows is already flaky enough).

Yeah, I've gotta have Access too. From the site it says you have to have
a valid Windows license. If you have a valid Windows license, why not
run virtualbox or vmware? I'm running Access over a Win7 RC through
virtualbox. EZ setup.

Use Wine or CrossOver Office....
