When my boss tried to sync Outlook calendar with Google Calendar he would get the error "could not connect ..."

He reports:

I’ve solved it. It syncs with my ‘default’ Outlook profile, and I had no default – I picked a profile each time I started Outlook. Once I set a default – bingo no problem.
